CET and RET: Capacitive and Resistive Modes

The two handpieces deliver energy differently — wide and shallow versus narrow and deep.

• CET (Capacitive Electrode Transfer): works into roughly 3–5 cm over a wider area; used for skin and superficial tissue, muscle pain relief, body shaping and lifting; the capacitive electrode focuses therapy into the muscle layers
• RET (Resistive Electrode Transfer): targets tissue with higher impedance — muscular insertions, tendons and bone surfaces; needs higher power; deeper but narrower reach
• Each handpiece takes several electrode plate sizes (body, face, contour)
• Mixing modes in one session is standard practice: CET for the superficial layer, RET for deep musculoskeletal work

Fascia Set and Negative Plate

Two additions that extend the system beyond handpiece work.

• Fascia set: three stainless tools for myofascial and soft-tissue mobilisation, driven by the same TECAR energy; designed for 448 kHz systems
• Negative plate: completes the circuit between machine and treated area; positioned against the hand, elbow, foot or knee
• Standard configuration: CET handpiece + RET handpiece + fascia set + negative pad

How 448 kHz Works

448 kHz alternating current heats tissue from the inside rather than the skin surface.

• Deep body warmth → visceral activation → increased metabolism
• The electrodes promote ionisation, so positive and negative ions in the cells rub against each other and generate heat within the body
• Functions listed for this platform: reduce pain, promote blood circulation, sports injury and muscle strain, face lifting, cellulite removal

Note on claims: manufacturer artwork also states that “30 minutes is equivalent to jogging 5 kilometres”. Treat that as marketing copy rather than a measured outcome.
