A single-channel machine treats areas one after another. The HKS-29D runs both at once.

An initial magnetic pulse is followed by a 4.5 kHz damping oscillation that decays across the pulse window. Honkay quotes 10–15 cm of tissue penetration; actual depth depends on output intensity and applicator diameter.
